SQUALENE:

Known as ‘Samewada’ in Japanese meaning ‘The Cure For All’, olive oil Squalene is possibly more effective than polyphenols. This Triterpene has a wide range of biological activities such as anti-aging, delivering oxygen into cells, drug delivery mechanism, immune system stimulation, anticancer, anti-inflammatory and more.

HYDROXYTYROSOL:

Especially found in olives, this polyphenol is one of the most potent antioxidants known. Research indicates anti-inflammatory, anti-carcinogenic, antioxidant effects.

TYROSOL:

As an antioxidant, Tyrosol can protect cells against injury due to oxidation in vitro and although not as potent as other antioxidants present in olive oil, it has a higher concentration and good bioavailability that studies have shown it effective in preserving cellular antioxidant defences.

OLEUROPEIN:

This ‘Parent’ polyphenol is responsible for the bitterness in EVOO. Health research shows its potential for chronic disease prevention and treatment.

OLEOCANTHAL:

This powerful polyphenol causes the ‘throat burn’ in EVOO. Research has proven Oleocanthal to cause apoptosis, cancer-cell death. Anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective effects have also been indicated in research.

MUFA & PUFA FATTY ACIDS :

MUFAs are considered a healthy dietary fat and the main type of fat found in all kinds of olive oil is monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs).   By replacing saturated and trans fats with MUFAs & PUFAs, you may gain certain health benefits including helping to decrease your risk of heart disease by improving related risk factors including lowering total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels.

VITAMIN E:

Extra virgin olive oil is rich in Vitamin E, the fat-soluble anti-oxidant that has also been shown to protect the body from diabetes, neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s, and lung cancer – as well as protect the body against eye and skin problems and in fact make hair and skin much healthier.

It strongly promotes.

cardiovascular health

Olive oil is considered heart-healthy for (many) good reasons. In the frequently cited PREDIMED study, people who ate a Mediterranean-style diet that included 4+ tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil per day had a lower risk of developing cardiovascular disease, and their combined risk for heart attack, stroke, and death from heart disease was around a 30% lower than people who ate a low-fat diet. EVOO has also been linked to improved cholesterol levels and reduced blood pressure. Oleic acid (the most abundant MUFA in all olive oil grades) and various polyphenols are likely to thank, given their ability to reduce inflammation and oxidative stress, and modify cholesterol levels in the bloodstream.
